Completion of the i-Violin Project: Enhancing Quality Assurance and Optimization in Oncological Imaging
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the i-Violin project (Implementing verifiable oncological imaging through quality assurance and optimization), co-funded by the EU under the EU4Health program. Over the past 24 months, this collaboration among 10 partners from 9 countries has aimed to optimize and harmonize oncological imaging procedures in Europe to enhance cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Key outcomes include the implementation of standardized tools for assessing image quality and determining patient dose, resulting in the creation of a website as a tool for quality assessment. This website provides professionals with the opportunity to evaluate image quality and ensure that best practices are being applied. The results of the project will significantly contribute to a harmonized approach in oncological imaging, promoting patient safety and quality of care.
