Dr. Ing. Axel Boese is an expert in medical device research and development, with a focus on clinical applications. Besides several developments, publications and patents in the field of image-guided therapies and instruments, he is a certified Quality Manager for ISO 13485 medical devices, an investigator for clinical studies and medical device testing, GCP, a Member of VDE, DGBMT and the DIN Standardisation committee 063-01-02 AA. He is a co-founder of the companies M3DP, SURAG, EasyJector, RadPrint, CEO of MEDICS GmbH and ZPVP GmbH. Axel Boese specialises in devices for intraluminal interventions (catheters, guide wires, access strategies, single-use products, sheets, stents, flow diverter), endoscopic and robotic devices (endoscopes, instruments, assistance systems) and needle-guided procedures (biopsy, puncture, needles, guidance systems). Additionally, he is an expert in medical device testing close to clinical application. Therefore, he develops test setups and evaluation strategies, including anatomical and physiological phantoms. As CEO of ZPVP GmbH Axel Boese is managing the Research and Development facility "Experimentelle Fabrik" in Magdeburg.
